Superintendent’s Message

I have been proud to serve as your school superintendent for the last year and a half. During my time in Centerville, I have observed a community that strongly supports education, hard-working staff members who care deeply about students, and eager young learners who excel and grow to their potential. We see and serve ALL students and we are especially proud of: 

A well-rounded learning environment for ALL students.

High learning standards and expectations that challenge ALL students, academically and socially. 

Our kid-centered and dedicated staff, board of directors, parents and community who ALL want the very best for students.

A robust curricular program that help prepare ALL students for a rigorous high school experience. 

Our determination to help students access the latest technology to enhance learning for ALL 

Our 2019 Smarter Balance Assessment results, which illustrated growth and achievement for ALL

Our high attendance rates. We care deeply that ALL students want to be in school.

That our students are well mannered and polite. Teachers, staff and parents help hold ALL students accountable for their actions.

Here in Centerville, we are truly fortunate to have a dedicated and supportive community to keep our school thriving.  The school board and administration are committed to retaining local control of our school and we regularly advocate for resources and support from local and state leaders. The new school funding model approved by the 2017 legislature, has indeed challenged us. We work hard to ensure adequate funding for student programs, staff and services, even amid reduced revenues. We are appreciative that parents and community attend school events and lend their personal support when resources are needed.

We are grateful for ALL who make our school a better place for students to learn and grow.
